Hi, I’m Rose
And welcome to my blog.
You might be wondering what kind of experience I have in finding gifts, well let me tell you, I have a lot of it. And here’s why.
I come from a family of seven, and being the only girl, my brothers would often come to me for advice on what to get someone for their birthday or what kind of a gift to take to a wedding. And then once I gave them some advice, I expected them to go out there and get the gift by themselves. But no, more often than not they already had the money in their hand to give to me and send me on my way.
This started when I was about twelve and it’s still a thing in our family, though I no longer have to ride around on my bike to find them the perfect gifts. Instead, I now send them an email with a couple of suggestions and where they can get the gift ideas.
Another side effect of growing up in a big family is having to find gifts for every single one of them because there are lots of birthdays, graduations, and so on. This is something I can no longer do in person since we all live a couple of hours away from one another, so online gift shopping has become a regular occurrence in my life.
This all came to a head during the holiday season of 2017 when I was in the middle of my university exams and had to look for more gifts than I could count (since some of my friends had discovered my weird ‘hobby’ as well.) So, after my exams, I decided to turn it into an actual hobby by creating curated lists filled with fun and original gift ideas on this blog. And ever since I’ve been writing gift guides about pretty much every topic I can think of and I try to keep them as budget-friendly as I can because I believe a good gift doesn’t have to cost a fortune.
So, if you are one of those people that needs advice on what kind of gift to get, then take a look around and you’re sure to find the perfect gifts to give.
I hope you enjoy reading this blog and the gift guides as much as I enjoy researching and writing them. If you want to stay in the loop of the latest gift guides, then be sure to follow me on Twitter, Facebook, or Pinterest.
